What Should I Say at an Alcohol/drug Evaluation to Avoid Rehab?
Question by Anonymous: What should I say at an alcohol/drug evaluation to avoid rehab?
I recently got in some legal trouble, not involving any drugs or alcohol, and now have to be on probation for a bit. I went to probation yesterday for the first time and met with a woman who asked about family history, alcohol/drug history, and such. I didn’t lie on anything, and told her I drink once a week with friends on the weekend, and just quit smoking marijuana a month ago. She now wants me to get an alcohol/drug evaluation and says they might require a rehab program for me! I, in now way, shape, or form need a rehab program, and really wish I would have just lied about it! What should I say at the evaluation in order to keep myself from having to enter a program?

Not knowing your age, if this is pre-sentencing or already court ordered probation and if you have taken a written evaluation I can advise to adjust the wording.
It is not drinking once a week; it is have the occasional beer. The example is 1 or 2 on a Sat.
Your right that when answering questions – especially for probation – don’t give them more than needed – do not indicate illegal activity. Answer to not incriminate yourself. When asked about MJ use say it was limited, or you have tried it or NO.
Now the thing is to relax and try not to show that your trying avoid a program and show trying to avoid because it is not needed.

Coming from a 30+ year toker, I have pretty much tested all the quit smoking items out there; and nothing at all has made it easier for me far more to stop the dangerous habit than this http://owned.name/5/gAGwh1 It is absolutely excellent! I have never felt more healthy in my entire life. Give it a shot, and you wont ever go back to traditional cigarettes. Good Luck!
